The 2021 “Cuvée des Ambassades” from Domaine des Chavannes has continued to blossom very nicely since I last tasted it in the spring. The wine shows lovely precision in its complex aromatic constellation of sweet cranberries, red cherries, a lovely base of soil, pigeon, fresh thyme and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and complex, with a lovely core of vibrant, sappy fruit, fine soil inflection and grip, suave, understated tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. This is first class Côte de Brouilly! John Gilman, View From The Cellar
